From the vineyard system to soil management and irrigation, from sprayers to agrochemicals, tractors and nursery management, the key word in wine growing is increasingly innovation. To see if something is really innovative, that is capable of creating added value for a company and its production what better than to see it “working in the field” and compare it with other products on the market.
This is what will be happening on 21 and 22 June, in the hills of Predappio in the province of Forlì Cesena and in the region of Romagna where ENOVITIS IN CAMPO 2012 is due to be held at the Condé winery. This marks a return to Romagna as this unique event, which is the “field version” of the Milanese event ENOVITIS - International Wine and Olive Growing Technics Exhibition (last held in November 2011 at Fiera Milano), was hosted by the Umberto Cesàri winery in Castel S. Pietro (Bologna) in 2000.
Two days of “machines tests” involving the entire production chain: from the vineyard planting to plant protection, from equipment for soil management to pruning (tractors, sprayers, rotary cultivators with coil shanks, harrows, shredders, leaf strippers, headers, etc.) and multifunctional harvesters. There will also be products, materials and devices necessary to monitor the vineyard (poles, wires, fertilizers, plant protection products, agricultural weather stations, irrigation facilities etc.).
The last ENOVITIS IN CAMPO (held at Ca’ Tron in Treviso in June 2010) also featured debates alongside the exhibition of machinery and equipment and 2012 will follow suit. The organisation of the event is well underway and is attracting great interest from the most important Italian and foreign manufacturers of vineyard machinery and equipment who have announced their participation with a wide range of products.
