Bath & West Grasslands and FTMTA Grass & Muck Event
Last month’s rain didn’t dampen our spirits at Case IH . On May 10th we were set up at Bath & West Grasslands Event with an impressive stand of products. Although the show was static, customers still took the opportunity to inspect Case IH units, get a feel for the interior of the cabs and talk to our team who were available all day providing good quality service and advice.
The following week the weather picked up at FTMTA Grass & Muck Event at Gurteen Agricultural College was a huge success with nearly 9,000 visitors attending. The show provided the launch venue for the Farmall U and Farmall A tractors to Irish customers. Case IH were located at the new static stand area at the centre of the working plots and the whole event proved to be an impressive visual spectacle.
Training For New Farmall Range
Last month the Case IH team took off on a road show to present the latest range of Farmall Tractors ranging between 55 to 115 hp, including both units with and without cabs. We had good attendance at all training days with 30-40 dealers attending each of the events which took place at Shuttleworth College in Bedford and in Ireland before FTMTA Grasslands Event. The final day of training will take place before the Royal Highland Show this month. The training has proved to be a well-planned event, providing an opportunity to see the first Farmall models and we had Alun Scott from the cab design team and Mihai Luca from the Austrian product training group to present the benefits of the new range to those who attended the training.
Film Shoot With Just Smoky..and a Quadtrac!
Two weeks ago Tractor Pulling driver David Jones invited a film crew to film the tractor puller Just Smoky and take a few shots with his new Quadtrac.
The shoot took place in order to collect footage for the filming of the The Shakey Super Pull on June 9th-10th 2012 which will be released soon after in the autumn. Zeontv who film for Motors TV, wanted to get an insight into the preparations and the driving techniques of the 3500 hp tractor pulling machine Just Smoky. The new 600 quad happened to be sat in the shed and the film crew couldn’t resist taking a few shots of it alongside Just Smoky to compare the stats – 26 tons, 670 hp, 50 psi of boost pressure Vs 3.5 tons, 3500 hp and 120 psi boost pressure out of a 466 international engine block.

Quadtrac World Record Attempt
Don’t forget that on July 28th Case IH will be taking part in a world record attempt – the most Quadtracs cultivating in one field! We’ll be giving out prizes for the following: the oldest Quadtrac, the Quadtrac with the longest hours and the Quadtrac that has traveled furthest to reach the event. The record attempt will raise money for Cancer Research Charity Relay For Life and is open to those wishing to enter their own Quadtrac and for those who fancy coming along for the day to watch or donate towards a worthy cause.

Upcoming Events & Dealer Shows
Last year’s Suffolk Show was the biggest ever attracting around 90,000 visitors over two days. In partnership with Ernest Doe, Case IH will be at the Suffolk Showground in Ipswich on June 7th-8th, offering top quality service and a range of Case IH equipment.
The Royal Cornwall show is the biggest annual event in the county and is packed full of exhibits and activities for all to enjoy. Visit the Truro Farm Machinery stand on 7th-9th June in Wadebridge, Cornwall where dealers will be presenting a full range of Case IH agricultural machinery.
This month Join us at Cereals , the leading technical event for the UK arable industry, on June 13th-14th at Boothby Graffoe in Lincolnshire where we are pleased to be showcasing our latest models , AFS Technology and Farming System. Food and refreshments will be available during the day and you’ll find us at stand F700.
The following week we invite you to Scotland’s most popular summer event, The Royal Highland Show on 21st-24th June to see our full range of Case IH agricultural units. Find us at stand 163, Avenue H at the showground in Ingliston Edinburgh.
On June 27th-28th visit the Ernest Doe Power exhibit at The Royal Norfolk show to see a full range of Case IH machinery. The Show caters for all age groups and provides exciting all day entertainment in the Grand Ring and Countryside arena.

Wedding Quadtrac
Congratulations to Matthew John Pratt and Helen Yvonne George who celebrated their wedding day in style with a Quadtrac. The wedding took place on May 5th in St John Evangelist Church in Manthorpe, Grantham. Matthew Pratt, Service zone manager for Case IH UK, went for something completely original, and organized a Steiger 450 Tier IV to take himself and his bride from the Church to their reception at Belton Woods Hotel.
“We both had such an amazing day supported by our friends and family, we couldn’t be happier” says Mr Pratt. The Steiger 450 looked impressive decorated with ribbons and was the most unusual wedding vehicle the church and the reception venue had ever seen – and one they will surely never forget!
