Ten years of "marketplace for aquaculture" at Euro Tier. This year aquaculture will be celebrating its ten year anniversary at EuroTier, the top event for professional animal production. Aquaculture, which will be presented in Hall 23, fits into this international exhibition perfectly. Not only are fish farms and fish consumption on the rise but many livestock farmers are now contemplating fish farms as an investment in addition to their other livestock businesses. This interest is also reflected at EuroTier with increasingly more visitors to the aquaculture area. On 16 July 2012 FAO aquaculture certified that aquaculture now accounts for a 47 percent stake in sea food volume consumed in the year 2010. In 1980, the proportion was only nine percent, suggesting that farmed fish has become increasingly more important for human nutrition. The FAO forecasts a further increase of 33 percent in production by the year 2021. More
Top Cattle Genetics (TopTierTreff) at EuroTier 2012
Leading international breeding specialists present Europe’s best dairy and beef animals; Special English and Russian presentations.
This year’s EuroTier exhibition features again a large sector for international dairy and beef farmers that is backed by a full range of technical equipment and construction plus management presentations from all over the world. Complementing the cattle breeders’ product display is the well-known EuroTier tradition of presenting cattle breeding stock on the stage of “Top Cattle Genetics” (=”TopTierTreff”) . This live show of pedigree cattle from Europe’s top breeders will be presented in German, Russian and English. Some sheep and goat breeding stock will also be presented on the last two days of the show. More
EuroTier 2012: World Poultry Show: a key highlight for the global poultry sector
Larger international presence in Halls 8 and 9 featuring all leading suppliers and a comprehensive technical programme.
Reflecting EuroTier’s continuing overall growth, the World Poultry Show will this year feature 280 poultry specialists, which represents a marked increase since the last edition. All leading providers of poultry solutions will be present at this event, which is held during EuroTier 2012 (13-16 November), including suppliers of breeding, husbandry and processing equipment and technology. Notably, 70 percent of these exhibitors come from outside Germany, which clearly underlines the World Poultry Show’s global reach.
