BioEnergy Decentral 2012: Special "Demand-driven Power Generation” in Hall 22
(DLG). DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society) is presenting a Special on the subject of “Demand-driven Power Generation” at BioEnergy Decentral being held at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover from 13 to 16 November 2012. The reason behind this Special is the opportunity for biogas plant operators to feed electricity into the system in line with market requirements which has been particularly enhanced and stimulated by the market and flexibility premium in the German Renewable Energy Act (EEG 2012). In this way operators can support the move towards alternative energy sources by offering controllable, i.e. demand-driven power supplies. The market premium gives plant operators an option for adapting even existing biogas plants technically in such a manner that they can generate power in line with demand. More
