JOSKIN delivers its 125th ISOBUS machine

The ISOBUS system allows the customer to control all possible operations on his machine through a single box or through the terminal of his tractor if it is compatible: next to easy functions like opening and closing a valve, switching on and off the flashing beacon, it can also control the pumping arm, the spreading boom sections, the axle suspension, the spreading dosis, etc.

After several years of collaboration, two of which of development and partnership with one of the best expert in the field of electronic solutions for agricultural machinery, the German Müller Elektronik, JOSKIN proposes a very complete electronic control that remains very ergonomic, notably with pictograms specifically draw by JOSKIN.

In this case, we are talking about a slurry tanker, but JOSKIN, bolstered by its collaboration with Müller Elektronik, proposes now to fit many machines of its range with the ISOBUS system: tipping trailers, silage trailers, Drakkar, muck spreaders, tankers, Cargo, etc.

The version sold today is very complete. It is compatible with all types of JOSKIN machines and with absolutely all the standard and optional functions proposed in the price list.

One has to know that one single terminal can be used for several machines: whatever the JOSKIN vehicle we want to use, the terminal will recognize and "control" it without any problem.

This means we do not need to buy one or several computers and to arrange a wire and a plug next to it for a forgotten function!

This example shows the ease and simplicity the ISOBUS system can offer on a slurry tanker. The program includes the automation of the headland sequences: at the end of a row, a button is pressed and the terminal closes the spreading valve, stops the macerators and lifts the spreading tool; after a U-turn, the button just has to be pressed once more so that all the reverse operations are carried out automatically. Moreover, the flow meter regulates the flow in accordance with the real speed.

In short, the ISOBUS remote control makes the operator´s work easier and optimizes his working time.

Characteristics of the JOSKIN ISOBUS equipment:

-  Joystick with 18 functions

- Panoramic terminal with colour screen

- Possibility of basic system without terminal (use of the terminal of the tractor or of another tool)

- Automated sequences

- Personalized IsoBus documentation (manual only with the functions present on the machine)

- Possibility of GPS connection for land measuring

ISOBUS? What´s this?

This technical term refers to a normalized communication code allowing to use a single remote control in the cabin in order to control a computer located on the machine, by means of a standardized electric wiring (hence the name "Iso") serving as shuttle bus (hence... "bus") for your information. In short, it is like the technical part of your cell phone, smart phone, PC tablet or laptop: the important thing is not to know how it works, but to know what you can get out of it.

In this case, as the modern agricultural machines accumulated functions and as time became ever scarcer, manufacturers progressively fitted these functions with remote controls in the cabin of the tractor. From a simple cord, we went to the remote control cable, then to the hydraulic line and finally to the electric line. But with the increase of functions, the side of the cabin became too small to put all control panels and the electric cable wiring became too difficult to handle.

Hence the idea to control these functions like a computer: a central unit controlling all functions is placed on the machine and is controlled by means of a screen and a keyboard or better a touch screen in the cabin, both connected via an IsoBus plug (normalized 9-pin plug, sort of equivalent of the USB plug of your personal computer). Some tractors have an IsoBus network for their own working. In this case, the original screen of the tractor can be used.

Particularity of this slurry tanker: it is the 125th JOSKIN machine fitted with an ISOBUS electric remote control.

New adaptations on Joskin Tetrax! Now as new model: Tetrax2

The Tetrax2 is comparable to the Modulo2. The tank is welded over its whole length to a self-supporting structure. In this way, it can easily be trailed and the traction strains are focused on the integrated chassis.

The drawbar with cross-spring suspension, made up of a bundle of parabolic leaves, can absorb the shocks without changing the traction direction of the vehicle. A drawbar with hydropneumatic suspension is available in option.

By mounting 4 wheels in a row, the contact surface with the ground extends over the whole width of the machine (2,6 m). The pressure on the ground is therefore reduced to a minimum and its structure is respected! Next to the tyre size 650/65R38, the new Tetrax2 also allows to mount 650/65R42 wheels.

The new Tetrax2 is standard fitted with the latest-generation integrated 4-point linkage. The rear implement can therefore be hitched more tightly to the tanker and the whole assembly is therefore more compact. The implement is laterally fed, which also allows to reduce the transportation height.

The available models are the Tetrax2 10700S, 13000S and 14000S which respectively have a capacity of 10750, 12900 and 14000 litres.
