C T Hayton Ltd Open New Depot in Wigton Cumbria
Case IH dealer, C T Hayton, held a very successful open day at their Wigton branch in September. More than 700 customers attended the event throughout the day and into the evening. Visitors were greeted with a glass of Bucks Fizz to celebrate the opening of the new depot and a raffle was held which raised over £320 for a Cerebral Palsy charity, CP Cumbria, which the Haytons have been supporting for the last 25 years. Customers piled into the workshop where several tractors were on display including a Case IH Quadtrac 450, which drew a lot of attention as such a large machine is not often seen within this predominantly stock and dairy farm area. Dealer Principal, Geoff Hayton, cut the ribbon to officially open the depot and welcome everybody to the new custom built premises. The Case IH team were present at the event, including President for Europe, Matthew Foster and staff from Sales, After Sales and Dealer Network Development.
McGuinness Brothers Celebrate 60 years of Case IH
This month a family of tillage farmers from Co. Louth in Ireland, celebrated 60 years of working with Case IH and our heritage brands. The McGuinness Brothers bought their first International Harvester in 1953 and when Mid-Louth Garage was set up in Ardee in 1974, the family decided to stick with the brand. The family have bought more than 60 new Case IH and International tractors, along with two Axial Flow combines and Case IH CVX 170 tractors. To celebrate the 60 years, Mid-Louth Garage presented the McGuinness brothers with a gold painted tractor model and a special Case IH birthday cake; we have invited the brothers to visit the Case IH European factory in St. Valentin, Austria, as a token of appreciation of their loyalty to the brand.
Wheelbarrow Race
Last month, Case IH dealer T H White Malborough, entered a Quadtrac style wheelbarrow for the Pewsey Carnival Wheelbarrow Race. The race is a major event where participants are required to pull and push a wheelbarrow on a pub crawl around the village. The T H White team managed to build the Quadtrac wheelbarrow in a week – very impressive!
