LAMMA 2014
We had a very successful and exciting couple of days at LAMMA, with a number of new and special products drawing hundreds of visitors to the stand. The new Case IH Farmlift 742 was seen for the first time in the UK at LAMMA.
The new Farmlift range, combines compact dimensions, powerful engines and hydraulics and modern transmission technology, ensuring that they are rapid on the road and have the full force needed for high-output loading tasks. The six models range from the agile Farmlift 525, designed especially for use in low buildings and livestock housing, to the powerful Farmlift 935, which handles high and heavy lifting work with ease.
There was also a lot of interest in the new Case IH 40 ft combine header - the world's biggest! The header was developed to match the requirements of 12m Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF) systems, the use of which is increasing on farms throughout Europe. This unique 12.5m 3050 VariCut header, which follows the trend towards ever-larger working widths and makes optimum use of the high threshing capacities of the latest Axial-Flow combines, features a number of new developments and innovative technologies. Visitors also had another chance to see the 230 Platinum Edition Puma CVX which was a popular attraction on the stand.
We'd like to thank everyone who visited us at the show and helped make the two days very enjoyable, despite the soggy ground and occasional downpours!

Another trip to St. Val!
In December, 20 key farmers from the Bredy area were lucky enough to venture on a trip to the Case IH European Headquarters in St Valentin, Austria. They were made to feel very welcome at the new Experience Centre where they were shown the art production facilities and were given emonstrations of key features of the products, such as Engine Power Management and a working cutaway of the CVX transmission. To round the day off, the customers were able to drive the tractors at the new test track, including the latest models off the production line; the Maxxum CVX and the Farmall U Pro.
A M Phillip Open Day
A M Phillip, the largest Case IH dealer in Scotland, held an Open Day on Wednesday 15th January at their latest depot in Perth, which officially opened in September 2013. This now brings their number of depots to six. The day was a big success with over 100 customers coming through the doors. Visitors had the opportunity to look around the workshops and Parts Department and were able to talk to members of staff. A prize draw was held and prizes on offer included vouchers for the Parts Department and a meal for two at Hunting Tower. All the brands sold by A M Phillip were on display and customers were able to see the latest models of tractor from Case IH from the Farmall U Pro to the Puma CVX. Tom Boyd, Sales Director, for A M Phillip thanked all staff and suppliers who helped make the day a huge success. Bruce Hamilton from Tayforth Machinery Ring was also present to remind customers of the special Rebate Scheme that Case IH and the SMRA are running. Case IH support 2nd EPP European Congress of Young Farmers of the European Parliament
Case IH and Steyr will support the 2nd Congress of European Young Farmers of the European Parliament in Brussels on January 28 and 29, 2014. Held for the second time, this congress organised by the European Popular Party (EPP) aims to raise awareness and make the whole agricultural sector, governments and society more alert to the needs of young farmers, as the leaders and farmers of our future. It will be hosted by four EPP Members of the European Parliament, including Elisabeth Köstinger from Austria, Mariya Gabriel from Bulgaria, Nuno Melo from Portugal and Maria Auxiliadora Correa Zamora from Spain as well as the Portuguese Farmers' Confederation CAP, and the Spanish Farmers' Organisation ASAJA. Case IH and Steyr will be sponsoring the event.
Matthew Foster, Case IH and Steyr Vice President responsible for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, explains the significant engagement of Case IH and Steyr in the project: “As the organisers of the event point out, without young farmers in the sector today, there will be no agriculture tomorrow," he says. "That is a key issue. We as an industry must be prepared to provide the technical solutions to assist young farmers on their challenging path towards the future.”
