GOOD BUSINESS AT DOE SHOW

Great Plains enjoyed a profitable time at the Doe Show, held at the Maldon, Essex headquarters of Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd, its leading UK dealer.

The company picked up many excellent enquiries over the three days, as well as retailing a number of machines off the stand and from dealer stock, including a Centurion drill, and SL, DTX and UniPress cultivators.

The enquiries covered the company's complete range of machines, reports David Holmes, UK Sales Director: “There is a lot of interest in machines like the SLD and DTX, the latter being increasingly the machine of choice for farmers looking to move to one pass systems for establishing oilseed rape for the first time”.

The two UniPress sales will help their new users refine their cultivation systems, says James Clark, Territory Manager: “Both machines will work behind Simba Solos, where the farmer still needs to finish the seedbed but does not need as aggressive an action as the CultiPress provides. Overall it was an excellent show for us and we look forward to seeing some significant business generated from it”.

Graham Parker, Dealer Principal at Ernest Doe & Sons, added: “We received more enquiries for Great Plains kit than for any other manufacturer. Their stand was always busy and I thought they had a really good show. We received quite a few enquiries about the Centurion drill which was very encouraging”.
