Unione Italiana Vini and Veronafiere, the organisers of “Enovitis in campo 2014”, have, for the ninth year of the event, promoted the Innovation Challenge. This is a competition designed to give recognition to the innovations proposed by the exhibitors on 19 and 20 June, at the Cattolica Agricola - Ca' Tron vineyards in Roncade (TV), where the event will be taking place.
Among the companies participating in the event, the Committee chose five to receive the certificate NEW TECHNOLOGY ENOVITIS IN CAMPO 2014. Here they are:
Agricolmeccanica Srl for its towed atomizer Drift Recovery 2000 with straddle tunnel with product recovery system and management of functions via computer: an innovative technical concept as well as providing the opportunity to significantly reduce the consumption of pesticides by improving productivity and environmental sustainability.
Bargam Spa for its multi-purpose machine V-Track on which heads can be mounted for harvesting and other equipment for the management of the canopy and soil: considered innovative for its functionality, ease of maintenance and management of equipment in addition to a strong improvement in productivity and quality of the product harvested.
BCS Spa for the Sky Jump 950 tractor equipped with two rear half tracks and articulated steering system or Dual Steer steering wheels: the machine can improve environmental sustainability, especially in terms of soil compaction, and increase ergonomics and safety at work.
Martignani Srl for the anti-drift sprayer Duo Wing Jet Collina, the new version of the electrostatic system with recovery without recycling suitable for sloping ground: greatly facilitates the use of recovery technology in hilly areas making a strong contribution to environmental sustainability.
Orteco Srl for the agricultural post driver Orteco: Increases the accuracy, quality and safety of the work, improving productivity and reducing costs.
The TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AWARD is a special recognition for a company that particularly stands out: it was given to Spektra Agri-Srl in collaboration with Fendt AGCO Italiana Srl for its AutoCombiGuide guidance system. The machine is particularly innovative because it assists in guidance and automatically controls the operational sequences in the vineyard with the possibility of controlling the equipment during operation.
The official prize-giving ceremony will take place during ENOVITIS IN CAMPO.
The initiative aims to promote and disseminate the best technology on display, either the best product or process innovation in winemaking, in the specific sectors on display at the event.
The Committee evaluating the proposals includes researchers from the most important national and international university faculties and experts from the largest Italian wineries: University of Milan, University of La Rioja (Spain), University of Bologna, University of Padua, University of Florence, University of Turin, Consortium DOC Friuli Venezia Giulia, Research Centre for Viticulture Conegliano Veneto (TV), Archipelago Muratori, Zonin Winery, Santa Margherita SpA, Marchesi Antinori srl, Progetto Natura.
