The industrial tire series MULTIUSE 550 of Alliance Tire Group has been developed and proven to be highly effective for all kinds of applications on industrial tractors, backhoe loaders, and municipal vehicles, i.e. machines that are mostly used on harder surfaces such as dry soil, sand, concrete or tar. “The MULTIUSE 550 series has also proven to be highly effective on snowy and icy roads, i.e. for all kinds of winter services. As we are on the threshold of the next winter season, we are delighted to announce that ATG has enlarged the range of MULTIUSE 550 tires by four additional sizes. By now, 21 different sizes for all common tractor sizes are available”, highlights Angelo Noronha, Chief Sales and Marketing – After Market, Europe.
Specific block tread design for optimum traction Thanks to the special block type profile of the MULTIUSE 550 series, these tires have a larger contact area and a high number of blocks and rubber to void tread ratio, thus delivering excellent traction under all possible conditions. “When working on different surfaces such as tar, sand, concrete or snow, changing tractor wheels used to be a common implication. That changes are drastically decreased with the MULTIUSE
550 series tires as they deliver best performance under all circumstances and throughout the year”, highlights Angelo. “One tire for all applications and conditions – that saves users money as well as time!” he adds.
Technical features for best results
During the development of the MULTIUSE 550 series, particular attention was paid to the versatility and performance of the tires. The block tread pattern features a new rubber compound that does not lose its positive characteristics even at low temperatures (low Tg value), thus providing excellent traction and braking on ice and snow. “In addition, the high and sharp side lugs further improve traction off-road while the robust central lugs reduce on-road rolling resistance as well as significantly lowering vibration, noise and fuel consumption. The steel belts provide high puncture resistance and the cut-resistant compound ensures low wear on all hard terrains, thus allowing for a long and efficient tread wear life”, explains Dr. George Ronai, from ATG's Israel R&D.
