The construction of the new LEMKEN field sprayer factory in Haren was launched today, just in time for spring, with a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony. The site, which is more than 3 ha in size, will soon house offices, training rooms with an integrated, 500 m² exhibition area, and a production hall of almost 10,000 m². It is expected that construction will proceed quickly and be completed by this autumn.
Ten years ago, LEMKEN expanded its product range by crop protection implements. Since then, the family-operated specialist business has offered not only its core soil cultivation and seeding implements, but a broad range of products for professional crop production to provide optimum support for agricultural machinery dealers and farmers. In 2005, LEMKEN additionally acquired the renowned company RTS Pflanzenbautechnik with its experienced staff and facilities in Meppen.
As the existing facilities could not be extended, LEMKEN decided to build a completely new factory at the site in Haren, which is ideally located next to the old site and offers an easy connection to the A 31 motorway. About 30 employees will work there from October.
