First, there are the different THEMED AREAS. These are exhibition areas central to the overall event developed around very specific topics. During the next edition, there will be the area dedicated to olive growing, with an exhibition of machinery for pruning and harvesting olives. This is an opportunity to find out in depth about an important resource for Mediterranean Agriculture that often accompanies vine growing. Alternative energy will be discussed too, with the exhibition of different technologies dedicated to managing pruning residue in the vineyard for producing energy. From shredders to vine shoot collectors, round balers, shredders and boilers, we will discover how to derive electrical energy, calories or refrigeration from the residue.
Of great interest too is the area dedicated to soil compaction where appropriate tools to avoid compaction will be recommended.
Once again, there will be the area that made its debut in 2014 that was particularly successful: Vineyard planting. This will be discussed with all the procedures for the planting of vine shoots, post drivers, tensioners and all the tools that thanks to technology can minimise inaccuracies and increase the efficiency of operations.
The new feature in 2015 is the space set aside for precision viticulture. Various pieces of equipment will be exhibited capable of performing their function (fertilization, parasitic or other treatments) selectively in the areas of need identified thanks to aerial surveys with drones.
ENOVITIS IN CAMPO will unfold with the original formula for which it distinguishes itself from all other trade shows. The machinery will be on show directly in the 400 rows of the two large vineyards in Baglio Biesina.
For first-hand knowledge of a selection of the most advanced technologies in the field, visitors will be able to participate in the GUIDED TOURS organised during the event.
The scientific contributors to the project are Professor Pietro Catania, from the University of Palermo in collaboration with Professor Giampaolo Schillaci from the University of Catania. Along with their colleagues, the two Professors will be providing their technical expertise and experience to enable visitors to discover real gems of technology, from equipment for pesticide treatments to equipment for the management of the foliage and soil. The objective of the tour is to illustrate the performance of the machines selected, highlighting their contribution in terms of sustainability.
In this way, visitors may see how this goes hand in hand with production efficiency.
The tour, like the event itself, will be directly in the vineyard and will stop at the selected machines. Many companies are keen to take part (the deadline for submitting applications is 20 April) and these will be carefully assessed to ensure that, as required, they have significantly different characteristics from each other in order to provide a comprehensive overview of the industry.
The programme includes two guided tours, both in the morning at 9:30 am, with the Tergeo stand as the meeting point. To participate, we recommend you book following the indications on the site www.enovitisincampo.it that will be constantly updated with all the events planned for the next edition.
ENOVITIS IN CAMPO Machinery tests in the field
5-6 June 2015, BAGLIO BIESINA
Organisers: Unione Italiana Vini and Veronafiere
Unione Italiana Vini has been organising events focusing on products, equipment and services for wine growing and olive growing under the ENOVITIS brand since 1997. Again under the Enovitis brand in February 2014, the Unione Italiana Vini – the main Association in the wine sector - and Veronafiere – the most prestigious Italian trade fair platform with international scope - signed a partnership to achieve the goal of becoming together the European reference for the promotion of technology for vine-growing.
The ENOVITIS system of promotion of technology for vine growing involves events that always focus on information, training and business relations among the stakeholders in the sector, with different specialisations according to the events: focus on a schedule of meetings for Enovitis Business, exhibition predominance for Enovitis in Fieragricola, information with technology testing in the vineyard for Enovitis in campo, permanent discussion on wine sector issues of a technical-scientific nature among the players of the economic cycle in the Tergeo meetings.
