Agritechnica 2015: Strong international interest in the leading supplier platform “Systems & Components”

(DLG). The “Systems & Components” platform for suppliers kicks off at this year's Agritechnica, the world's largest trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment, with the topic “Future Farming”. Some 800 exhibitors from about 40 countries out of a total of more than 2,400 companies will be exhibiting specifically in this sector at Agritechnica in Hanover from 10th to 14th November 2015 (preview days on 8th and 9th November). Visitors will be given a comprehensive insight into innovations, trends and developments from the segments of motors, hydraulics, axles, drive technology, cabs, electronics, spares and wear parts, as well as user-friendly software.

With its broad spectrum, the hub for mobile applications is aimed at trade visitors from development, research, procurement and the trade from the agricultural engineering sector, as well as other related sectors such as construction, mining, road construction and earth-moving. At the same time Systems & Components offers the opportunity for all suppliers to meet in one place. It is, of course, also the ideal opportunity for exchanges of ideas between experts, business contacts, and discussions on co-operation, for international market analyses and procurement.

“By opening up Systems & Components to other sectors we expect considerable cross-sector technology transfer. Adapting solutions and experiences is efficient and enduringly positive for everyone involved. We offer suppliers a professional platform for finding out tomorrow's solutions today”, says Dr. Raffaele Talarico, the person responsible for the Systems & Components exhibition and programme, commenting on the current participation of exhibitors.

Future Farming

The ever increasing challenges facing agriculture cannot be overcome without the use of advanced technology. Smart technologies create interactive communication between machinery and equipment, and co-ordinate them automatically. Machinery and equipment become autonomous production sites, which in future will only have to be monitored. This will enable farmers to devote much more time to their core duties and responsibilities.

Drones, precision GPS-controlled machinery and equipment, highly accurate sensors, field robots and so much more not only make the user's work easier, they also produce greater efficiency in soil cultivation and yield. Mechanical breakdown can be reported by regular process data recording direct by satellite to the developer or workshop. Nowadays, errors are already analysed and corrected online by the manufacturer. Even damage repair can be organised and carried out with precision and speed. Innovative partners, suppliers and cross-sector solutions are required. The top priority is on the interaction between everyone involved.

This year Systems & Components focuses on the issue of “Future Farming”, concentrating on the four technology trends: efficiency, reliability, safety/ergonomics and environmental protection. Innovations and challenges will be examined, and there will be scope for constructive discussions between all stakeholders. In tandem with the fair there will be an overarching three-part supporting programme - Forum, Pathways and a Special Show.
