The 2015 edition of Agrilevante closed basking in full success, with a record number of visitors. The international exposition of machinery and technologies for agriculture, the agro-industry and groundskeeping opened Thursday, the 15th, and closed its doors Sunday afternoon after chalking up the arrival of 58,400 visitors, 10% of them from abroad, for a 17% increase over the 50,000 attending the most recent edition in 2013. This result confirmed the trend of the biennial exhibition now consolidated around the role of the leading event in the sector in the Mediterranean and a point of reference for business people in South Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The review drew crowds of farmers, contractors and agricultural machinery dealers as well as young people, families and children taken in by the impressive machinery exhibited by more than 300 manufacturers who visited the trade fair pavilions and took part in more than forty meetings, some technical and some informative, assemblies on the agricultural economy, financing for farming enterprises, the maintenance of greenery, eco-systems and renewable energy sources.
Among the business meetings were high profile encounters set up by FederUnacoma, the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation, and the ICE Trade Agency, for business people in the official delegations from aboard. Brought together in these meetings were more than 100 business people and 160 exhibiting companies. There were more than 1,700 of these business-to-business meetings of company representatives and business people held in the purpose builtInternationalization Area created in the Bari trade fair center.
At the close of the review, Massimo Goldoni, whose federation and the Fiera del Levante Fair organize Agrilevante, declared, “The success of trade fair events are capable of driving themselves because they create dynamics in supply and demand, which push business people to take part in increasing numbers, lead and the manufacturing industries to commit further investments for the promotion of their products.” He want on to say, with reference to the three prevision editions since 2009, “After the fourth edition in steady growth we can say that the mechanism is finely turned and the October 2017 edition will come along with even greater strength, more theme areas and new features the public and exhibitors will like.
