Olimac s.r.l., worldwide leader in designing and building corn heads, is the unique company in the world able to design and build every component of the corn head inside its own plant: this primacy allowing for a global quality control together with higher performances and duration. The plant, that covers an area of more than 80.000 sq.m., is an industrial hyper-technological complex, totally automated and robotic.

DragoGT is equipped with automatic self-adjusting suspension deck plates (world Olimac patent): deck plates are equipped with a special suspension device to cushion the impact of the ears on the same plates. Thanks to this gentle separation there is no loss of kernels between plates as well as no ears bouncing out.

Besides, the plates automatically and simultaneously open according to the different size of the corn stalks, independently working on each row. Operator does not need to make any adjustment.

There are clear advantages compared to the normal corn heads already on the market: harvesting is complete, without losses of kernels and ears, while profits increase.

DragoGT harvests all down corn without any problem: it is equipped with a hyper-dimensioned auger (the biggest in the sector) allowing higher progress speed among down-lying and dry corn: this allows for the elimination of all obstructions and kernel losses, while the combine-harvester will work at the highest performance level.

The working angle of the row compared to the ground is 18° only. This special feature contributes to the perfect harvesting of down corn avoiding the bouncing out of ears from the machine.

Another DragoGT scoop is the use of spiral bevel gear pairs of automotive origin allowing for a total power transmission and guaranteeing higher performance.

Normal corn heads have only one clutch that intervenes in different movements. On the contrary, DragoGT is equipped with four clutches on each row, each one calibrated for a specific movement: this way higher performances and safety are guaranteed.

Unique in the world, DragoGT is equipped with a Double Stalk Chopper Scissor Effect allowing double shuttering of the stalks (worldwide Olimac patent). There are four blades working on each row, two on each side, but with opposite rotation, like scissor: stalks are doubly shuttered and chopping is much finer if compared to the other corn heads, besides the product decomposes more rapidly on the ground.
