Cross-industry concept well received by supplier industry and visitors.

The Systems & Components event has made its mark at Agritechnica. This cross-industry concept with its focus on systems, modules, components and parts suppliers was well received by the supplier industry and by the visitors, too. At the end of the event, Agritechnica's organiser, DLG (German Agricultural Society/Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft) had no doubts about this. As DLG's CEO, Dr Reinhard Grande, pointed out, ´The exhibitors and the visitors were highly satisfied with the result.´ Visitors got to see the full breadth of innovations, trends and developments – from engines, hydraulic systems, axes and drive technology, cabins, electronics, spare and wear parts through to user-friendly software.

This time round, the technological focus of Systems & Components was on ´Future Farming´ and here in particular on four trending topics: efficiency, reliability, safety/ergonomics and resource conservation. Innovations were showcased and challenges explained. Furthermore, Systems & Components even had its own overarching technical programme.

´This year Systems & Components gave us an excellent platform to present our know-how to the attendees.´ This was the final conclusion reached by Massimiliano Franz, who heads up communications at Carraro Drive Tech, Campodarsego in Padua, Italy.

Summing up, Mr Franz said, ´It was a fantastic opportunity to put the spotlight on those people who supply the actual ´heart´ of these machines – people the end users usually don´t get to see. This approach that transcends the individual company perspective in favour of ´co-opetition', meaning cooperation but competition too, was definitely one of the cornerstones of the event.'

For Daniel Enders, marketing boss at HYDAC International in the German town of Sulzbach, Saar, Systems & Components has definitely got a stronger profile now. ´In terms of its concept, this event has delivered on its promise. We´re really pleased with the way we were able to reach our target audience,´ said Enders. In his opinion, the thematic focus on ´Future Farming´, which involves topics such as intelligent systems, networking or energy efficiency, was an excellent choice.

Located in Haren in the German district of Emsland, the BÜTER Group – a company that recently celebrated its fiftieth anniversary – was very pleased with Systems & Components. ´For our company, this is the most important trade show of them all,´ explained Dagmar Büter. For her, the concept behind Systems & Components and the successful hall layout are extremely convincing. ‘We were able to engage with our existing customer base, but were also very well positioned to reach new clients.'
