Our first international smaXtec Rumen pH Symposium was a great success. The event attracted many participants from nine different countries who had the opportunity to listen to interesting talks on a variety of topics, which were followed by discussions and exchange of ideas and experience.
The symposium included sessions on topics such as “Economic Benefits of pH Measurement” and “Insights revealed by smaXtec data”. Leading experts at the event included Dr. Johann Gasteiner from LFZ Raumberg-Gumpenstein and Professor Christopher Knight from the University of Copenhagen.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all participants and speakers who contributed towards making the symposium such a highly successful and worthwhile event for all attendees.

smaXtec System 3.0
The smaXtec System has long enabled farmers to track and optimize animal health, feeding and performance based on continuous monitoring of real-time data such as rumen pH and temperature. smaXtec Sensors now also provide reliable monitoring of cow activity levels. The improved user interface also features new functions including, for example, options for creating and administering groups for even better herd management.
The smaXtec Sensors measure health and activity data in individual animals.As well as these sensors, there are also smaXtec Sensors featuring additional measurement of rumen pH (acidity), which are used to provide representative values from selected cows. Combined use of both kinds of smaXtec Sensors enables you to optimize reproduction, health and feeding.
The new sensors “smaXtec Sensor” and “smaXtec Sensor +pH” will beavailable from 1 December 2015. The innovative new features in smaXtec Messenger will also be available effective from the launch of the new sensors.
