EIMA Agrimach, the international exhibition of the agro-machinery sector taking place in New Dehli from 3 to 5 December – at the IARI (Indian Agricultural Research Institute) of Pusa – is a great show of success for Italian-Indian cooperation. The two countries can vaunt substantial agricultural mechanical engineering industries specialized in the manufacture of agricultural machinery and equipment and are aiming at ever greater integration. These steps involve the century-old Italian experience in this field put to the service of the requirements of countries such as India in rapid economic and technological growth. At the New Dehli exposition 33 Italian manufacturers are arriving with vast ranges of their products which extend from tractors to other agricultural machinery and equipment for working the land for irrigation, for the maintenance of green areas and other operations plus in the components sector. Moreover, the Italian industry is a sector which has been committed for years to the development of commercial relations with India and the installation of manufacturing facilities in the country. Among these are included AMA, BCS, CNH, Same Deutz Fahr, Cbm, Safim, Ognibene, Serigrafia 76, Carraro Assali, Maschio Gaspardo, Sicma, Lombardini, Falc and SAI.
Along with being a very vast market, India also represents a platform to develop commercial relations and industrial cooperation with Far Eastern countries, such as Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam which have been steadily growing for some years now in the agricultural sector and express a constant demand for mechanization.
In this perspective FICCI and FederUnacoma, with the support of ICE (Italian Trade Agency) and the Emilia Romagna Region, have arranged – during EIMA Agrimach – the presence of many delegations of Asian and African countries in order to give them, during the Indian exposition, an important opportunity to get in touch with technologies applicable to their productive and environmental contexts.
