EnergyDecentral 2016 to include BIOGAS Convention

The next EnergyDecentral exhibition will take place in Hanover, Germany, from 15 - 18 November 2016, and will mark 10 years of renewable energy being presented at the event. In addition, the German Biogas Association will hold its BIOGAS annual meeting, under the new name BIOGAS Convention, on the EnergyDecentral site for the first time in 2016.

“With the integration of the BIOGAS Convention into the EnergyDecentral exhibition, the whole biogas industry will benefit from a future-oriented platform for the maintenance and expansion of the business in a national and international context,” says Marcus Vagt, project manager of EnergyDecentral.

“Renewable energy has already proved to offer good synergy with the agricultural livestock technologies at EuroTier. This section has been part of the exhibition since 2006 and has developed from edition to edition to include subject areas relevant to today, such as decentralized energy,” adds Vagt.

EnergyDecentral 2014 set a new benchmark for the event with 38,000 visitors, of which 6,000 were from outside Germany. More than 370 exhibitors from 13 countries presented the latest technologies and techniques in the renewable energy sector. An independent survey showed that both visitors and exhibitors alike were optimistic about the future for renewable energy, and they particularly highlighted the opportunities presented by products and services related to innovative methods of energy generation.

Located in dedicated exhibition halls, EnergyDecentral displays a broad range of technological developments in the areas of bioenergy, renewable energy, and the technology and concepts surrounding local energy production, sometimes also known as decentralized energy.

In addition to the presentation of decentralized energy solutions and methods, other special areas of interest to be explored at EnergyDecentral include the production of energy from renewable sources, the efficiency of the plant and equipment used in the sector, and the storage and distribution of the energy produced.

The range of exhibitors EnergyDecentral 2016 will include many innovative technologies, ranging from power generation through networking and control, as well as storage, distribution and consumption of energy. Their single aim is to provide efficient and reliable systems to allow the sustainable generation of energy.

In addition to focusing on bioenergy, the EnergyDecentral exhibition has also established itself as a trade fair for the gas-fuelled generator engines and infrastructure used in combined heat and power (CHP) installations. In a growing international environment, this offers the opportunity to get into contact with a wide range of manufacturers working in this sector.

The EnergyDecentral exhibition remains an integral part of EuroTier, the world's leading trade fair for agricultural animal production. EnergyDecentral is the largest exhibition in the world presenting such a full range of biogas solutions. The synergies between agriculture and bioenergy are clear for all to see, so it should be no surprise that technological developments will also be covered in the fields of substrate preparation, the handling of fuels such as wood and straw, and the opportunities for on-farm use of biofuels as well as for power generation.

International professional programme.

EnergyDecentral 2016 will also offer an attractive professional program with information, discussion forums and international conferences on current issues, including all aspects of innovative energy production and the technologies offered by the exhibitors.
