The Agrifirm Members Council was informed of the intended appointment. Dick Hordijk will join the Executive Board under the articles of association on 1 June 2016. Dick Hordijk will be appointed as Chairman of the Executive Board on 20 September. He will form the executive Board of the Agrifirm Group B.V. together with Chief Financial Officer Jaap Vessies. The Central Works Council has since issued a positive advice.
Dick Hordijk has gained ample knowledge and experience in international executive positions in the agri-business sectors (premix and nutrition) that are important to Agrifirm. He held various management positions at large multinationals with ultimate responsibility for commerce, operations, finance, supply chain management and IT. In his last position he was Managing Director of Cargill Premix Nutrition (CPN) EMEA.
The Supervisory Board is convinced that Dick Hordijk's ample experience, international orientation and personality make him an excellent choice to provide a further impulse to the strategy that has been implemented by Agrifirm. Both from the cooperative setting in which Agrifirm operates and from the ambition to further internationalise the company.
