Within sight of the Formula 1 track in Spielberg (Austria), we were able to draw the first furrows. We are very pleased to report about the first practical tests of the new plough-series - ©plus Helios 400 6S Vario. After several hectares the plough showed that it does what it should do - it is easy to use and leaves a perfectly plowed field. This perfect test of the new plough was made possible through the support of our partner GADY as well as the fields provided by the Trettenbrein family. Furthermore, many thanks to our technical on-site team for their active and professional support.
Our designers contributed their best work. In addition to the overall concept of the fully hydraulically working plough Helios, the construction of completely new modules was a special challenge.
- Thanks to the new hydraulic comfort box ('VNHD ComBox') all hydraulic functions of the plough can be controlled at the same time with ease at the touch of a button.
- The newly designed Shell Power Frame system (SPF system) represents the connection between the turnover unit and the frame tube. High-tensile sheet steel connects this system to the frame tube. This, together with the optimal integration of the first three plough bodies, leads to maximum stability and a longer service life for the plough.
- The completely newly designed Light Power Package leg bracket package is lighter and even stronger thanks to its optimised components. The high trigger force of the shear bolt stump-jump system is 7.5 t, bringing it to number one in the market comparison.
- The headstock with integrated toolbox is equipped with a strong turning cylinder and large tapered roller bearing. The hydraulic camber adjustment integrated in the turning cylinder is the newest feature. The track width is hydraulically adjusted via a centrally positioned cylinder on the adjustment slide block. The track width adjustment can be retrofitted at any time as required.
Christoph Ebner (construction) is proud: “Automatic adjustment of the pulling point and front furrow width when adjusting the cutting width is not self-evident. To solve this challenge was one of the most complex design tasks in the development of the new plough series.”
CEO Dieter Angerer is enthusiastic: "It is in this strength - conceptual innovation coupled with practical implementation skills and especially the hands-on access – which will strengthen the future of our company."
