Job route
For students from the agricultural sector or those that are interested in this dynamic branch, a special route has been set out in the PotatoEurope showground on Thursday 14 September. This job route leads students past participants from the Agrofoodcluster in Emmeloord, who give an impressive picture of the career opportunities for students in the potato sector. In addition, students can also watch a virtual reality film about the potato in the Agrofoodcluster stand (B174).
Interactive presentations
During three interactive sessions on Thursday 14 September in the multifunctional space of PotatoEurope 2017, students can think proactively and talk in discussion groups about the themes Future, Space and Virtual. At 11 a.m., the Future theme is presented by Futurologist Bart Götte of Futureflock and Nijerode. He will talk on different kind of futures, work, jobs and your role in it. The theme Space is being presented at 1 p.m. by engineer Hein Noorbergen of the Dutch Aerospace Center & Peter Holster, farmer and owner of Akkeranalyse. They will inspire you about satellites, drones, photos, data and what you have to do with it in your daily life. At 3 p.m. the theme Virtual is on the schedule. Owner of VR Productions Saco Koelma, will explain about virtual reality, augmented reality, the hololens, and how you share and get information in the future.
