Alliance Tire Group has earned an excellent reputation as one of the world's leading manufacturers of high quality, high performance off-highway tyres for the aftermarket. Based on the expertise of about 175 ATG research & development engineers in Europe, Israel and India, and with the powerful support of another 1,000 research & development engineers at Yokohama, ATG also receives quickly growing recognition as manufacturer of innovative and specialist tyres for the OEM segment. At Agritechnica alone, more than 600 Alliance tires distributed over 100 machines brands will be on display.
Own OEM team for Europe
ATG will use this year's Agritechnica to announce further efforts to intensify cooperation in the OEM segment. The OEM team is focussing on further strengthening the already excellent OE customer relationships with more than 10 major machinery brands in Europe as well as expending the client portfolio. The current collaborations include specific development cooperation with manufacturers such as CLAAS and AGCO, just to name a few. Tyres for agricultural trailers, spreader trucks and balers as well as tyres for sprayers were developed in close cooperation with these partners.
“In the last years, ATG developed over 150 tyres per year. Our engineering process is fast and allowed us to be a reliable partner for OEMs looking for special products – even in small volumes and even for niche markets. Our efficient product development process allows us to design new products in nine months on average, that is a key factor to serve also major machines producers. As pioneers in flotation tyres and market leaders for sprayers, we offer leading solutions for highly efficient and soil conserving agricultural operations”, highlights Peter Baur, President at ATG Europe.
Ruthless testing for optimum performance and reliability
Most rigid indoor and outdoor testing ensures that Alliance tyres live and perform to their quality promise. In addition to all laboratory, test bench and outdoor evaluations, testing is also performed at selected customer sites. “In combination with our intensified development cooperation with renowned OEM partners and all testing, we also have 15 field engineers working closely with partners and customers across Europe to ensure optimum customer satisfaction – and to further boost our OEM presence”, adds Peter Baur.
Innovative Alliance 128 High Speed Flotation: “All-round” advantages
The Alliance 128 High Speed Flotation is a newly developed tyre for agricultural trailers, spreader trucks and balers. The innovative tread pattern combines shoulder lugs for high tractive force, centre-rib lugs for a smooth ride and low rolling resistance as well as rounded shoulders for efficient soil protection.
In order to meet the rising demands of modern agricultural machines and processes, development engineers at ATG collaborated with CLAAS in Bad Saulgau. They specifically looked at requirements to be met for efficiency, productivity, soil protection and service life of tyres. At the same time, ATG's engineers went a long way to fully meet these requirements at lowest total cost of ownership for the end user.
On and off-the-road: The 128 HS delivers
The 128 High Speed Flotation is available in size 800/35-22.5 LI 162B and equally suitable for high speed agricultural tasks and applications on and off-the-road. The centre-rib lugs ensure comfort and a quiet, smooth ride whilst offering excellent self-cleaning characteristics. The high load carrying capacity and the low inflation pressure of the 128 HS ensure that heavy loads can be carried with a high degree of soil protection on large loading wagons and trailers.
On equipment such as spreader trucks, drivers will also highly appreciate the comfortable, quiet and smooth ride with the 128 HS Flotation. In addition, the shoulder lugs of this tyre provide better grip, less slippage and thus high tractive force, whilst the centre-lugs ensure low rolling resistance both on and off-the-road, hence saving fuel and reducing operating costs.
New tread, special compounds, long service life
Going from existing patterns with closed bar lugs to centre-rib lugs, ATG's development engineers ensured that the tyre also offers excellent stability during high speed road transport with up to 65 kph. Special compounds and nylon fabrics make for a strong construction, high load carrying capacity and low wear at the same time. The innovative 128 High Speed Flotation is available for OEM and the independent aftermarket.
Alliance 337 Deep Lug: New “mud specialist” for low horse-power tractors
The new Alliance 337 Deep Lug was specifically developed for rice, sugar cane and other muddy terrain. Thanks to the tyre's multi angled tread pattern and stepped lugs, the 337 Deep Lug is the new traction specialist for soils which are extremely wet and sticky. At the same time, this tyre ensures good road-ability and an extended service life on and off-road.
Master of the “paddy cycle” – and much more
Growing rice means working on fields that are flooded for almost the entire growing season. Land preparation, planting as well as crop protection, fertilisation and weeding all take place when the soils are soaked with water. That is why – for the paddy cycle as well as other operations on muddy terrain – stepped lugs are used to ensure maximum traction. This in turn requires superior tread compounds to avoid damage to the lugs during on road operations. The Alliance 337 Deep Lug has been designed for 80% in the field and 20% on the road operation.
Superior tread compounds, wide nose bars and shadow tie bars make for strong lugs, thus reducing wear on roads and increasing resistance to cuts for a long and efficient service life. For minimum slip and maximum traction, lugs are multi-angled and particularly deep. This tread pattern also ensures excellent self-cleaning abilities of the Alliance 337 Deep Lug.
The new Alliance “mud specialist” with textile fabric is rated R-1W+, has an A8 speed rating and is currently available in the four sizes 14.9-28, 16.9-34, 14.9-24 and 12.4-24. Further sizes are under development.
