Agro Napló
The value of EU agri-food exports in January 2018 reached EUR 10.6 billion, representing a 4.5% increase in value over the same period a year ago, according to the latest monthly trade report on agri-food trade. With agri-food imports at € 10.3 billion, the EU had a positive trade balance of € 300 million in January 2018.

The largest increases in monthly exports (January 2018 compared to January 2017) were recorded for Japan, Brazil, Russia and Morocco. By sector, the strongest export growth was in infant foods, sugar, pasta and pet food. Imports of cereals (other than wheat and rice) and tropical fruits increased. This month's report presents the trade balance and its evolution since February 2016 by product category. Wine is the product with the largest gains in net exports.
