This is a short formula that is most evident, because wheel loader manufacturer Thaler GmbH from Upper Bavaria in Germany has combined these two types of steering modes in one and the same loader and presented it - after almost two years of testing the interaction of the steering modes - to the Examination Board of the Innovation Competition during Galabau Show 2018, this is Germany's most important show in Landscaping, held every two year in Nuremberg.

The result was announced on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. The Examination board followed fully the argumentation in security questions. For this reason, during a short ceremony Mr. Manfred Thaler received the Innovation Medal for the wheel loader 3248T - 5A with SPS out of the hands of Mr. Jürgen Hoppe Member of the Evaluation Commission and Mr. Gerald Jungjohann, vice-president of German Association of Landscapers (BGL). The reason is the essential feature of the wheel loader 3248T-5A with SPS (Secure Power Steering): the combination of the advantages of both steering modes (four-wheel steering and articulated steering) in one and the same loader. This results in a very good manoeuvrability with an inner radius of only 760 mm for a 3-to-vehicle while the risk to fall to the side is minimized due to the reduced angle in the centre articulation. This leads to a significant improvement in operational safety for the operator and his surroundings.  In addition, the wheel loader offers to the operator five different steering modes (individual modes and their combinations also) by pressing a simple button, depending on the situation and on the experience of the operator. "Now, the 5-Axis-Loader, as we call it in-house, goes on to other fairs and shows in European countries, and afterwards a series of demonstrations is scheduled to prove its capacities', as we understood in the expert's conversation at the end of the ceremony.
