EuroTier is already recognized for its huge range of technical solutions for the key livestock species, but the event also offers immense potential as a forum for promoting training and recruitment into the sector.
For the second time, EuroTier organizer DLG (German Agricultural Society) will host a complete section at the event for job seekers at all levels. Campus & Career will function as a one-stop career orientation center, covering everything related to jobs, training, skills upgrading and career resilience, as well as technical research and development in the agriculture sector. It will also feature an on-site recruitment fair, where job-seekers, mid-career professionals or anyone interested in exploring new opportunities can interact with different companies to find out more about their brands and current job offers.
“We are looking forward to continuing this new segment at EuroTier this year,” said Nathalie Joest, who manages Campus & Career at EuroTier. “In 2016, Campus & Career proved to be a win-win situation at EuroTier for both companies and people looking for job opportunities in the agricultural sector. This year we are expecting similar results.”
Technical program with relevant seminars
Campus & Career will again feature a technical program featuring a red sofa for live discussions, setting the stage for an inviting and interactive forum. There will also be specific areas dedicated to career counselling and advice. Complementing the program will be familiar segments such as the Campus, where universities will present relevant academic or vocational programs for the agricultural sector; and the DLG Career and Profession Advisory Service.
Thursday, 15 November is Young Farmers Day at EuroTier 2018, and Campus & Career will host a Young Farmers Congress with the topic “Young farmers and their individual ways for a modern agriculture”. Simultaneous German/English translation will be available for participants.
“Our hope is for Campus & Career to be interactive, lively and useful,” says Joest. “Somewhere businesses can have a platform to showcase their brands and attract talent in the job market, and where anyone wishing to check out the latest employment trends can do so with ease, speaking to different companies and ask questions to find out answers for themselves – all in a conducive and congenial environment.”
Companies interested in showcasing their recruitment opportunities at Campus & Career should contact Nathalie Joest (n.joest@dlg.org) for more information.
