The International Farmers' Day at Agritechnica is a new initiative from event organiser DLG (German Agricultural Society). Taking place on 14th November at Agritechnica, the day will include a full programme of expert presentations about French farming, looking at both the challenges faced and solutions developed by this important agricultural nation. Networking with other agricultural countries will be an important part of the event.
The French agricultural sector will be able to find out more about the special day showcasing their industry, as well information about all the other reasons to visit Agritechnica, at DLG's stand at this year's SIMA Show, taking place in Paris from 24th to 28th February. Agritechnica personnel will be in hall 5a on stand E042 throughout the duration of the SIMA event.
This is the first time Agritechnica has included a day focusing on a particular country, and the initiative has been introduced to support this year's guiding theme, "Global farming—local responsibility", which promotes a sustainable future for agriculture, where sufficient food is produced for a growing world population while conserving natural resources.
In 2017, Agritechnica attracted more than 5,000 discerning French farmers and dealers to Hanover, as well as more than 107 French exhibitors, the highest number to date. This mirrors the importance of the country's agricultural industry, with France and Germany representing the top two markets for tractors and agricultural machinery in Europe.
Taking place on Thursday, 14th November, the International Farmers' Day coincides with Agritechnica's well-established International Young Farmers day. Hailed as an occasion when young entrepreneurial and engineering spirit comes to the fore, the choice of this day for a closer look at France's vibrant agricultural industry is particularly appropriate.
Agritechnica 2019 will take place at Hanover's Exhibition Grounds from 10th to 16th November (with special preview days on 10 and 11 November).
