Quicke launches new control system platform QCS, Quicke Control System

All-new valves, joysticks and multi-couplings are on display at the Quicke stand at Agritechnica this year. The platform offers a full range from the simple and cost-efficient mechanical loader control, QM-command, to the ergonomic QE-command, the new electronic joystick.

QCS is developed in-house with full focus on performance, durability and ease of use.

QE-command is the new electronic control which features great hand ergonomics and possibility to operate all loader functions as standard. Combined with the 3-sectional valve, the conveniently placed rocker offers independent and proportional 3rd service, “Live3”. Q-companion, the driver support system that includes load weighing, can be integrated with the QE-command joystick where the scroll wheel makes menu selection easy and comfortable.

QE-command and Q-companion combined offers the driver advanced control system features and allows for user settings and instructions on the included colour display. The combination forms the platform for future software updates where active loader functions will be introduced. This will enable repeatable work cycles, range limitation and much more.

The mechanical joystick, QM-command, is available with different handles depending of customer preference and number of electro-hydraulic options on the loader. There is no need for external switches and buttons anymore, which can be difficult to locate.

The multi-couplings, QC4 and QC6, are available in 4- or 6-port configuration and have an integrated electrical connector. The couplings have been increased to ½” size for lower losses, quicker cycle times and savings on fuel. The dust protection lid opens and closes automatically, and the couplings are connectable under full working pressure.

The electro-hydraulic valves feature stepper motor actuators for best possible driveability. Low-pressure regeneration eliminates the risk of cavitation in the loader cylinders. The inlet pressure compensator ensures load-independent control on open centre tractor hydraulic systems.

- This is the first loader control system designed fully by us and we are proud of what we have achieved, says Fredrik Haldammen, Product Manager at Ålö. We are launching a platform of control system products with fantastic performance and durability with a wide span between simple and advanced. The mechanical joystick with all buttons and switches on the handle itself increases ergonomics and convenience. The electronic joystick is truly ergonomic and gives fantastic control of the loader movements. When the Q-series loader was designed we gave the hydraulic system a lot of attention to reduce the pressure drop and these new multi-couplings ensures quicker lift cycles on high pump capacity tractors. Fredrik adds:

- Durability and ease of use has been on top of the agenda during the development but we have also focused on innovation. A customer choosing the electronic joystick and Q-companion combined will have the possibility in a near future to enjoy active and application-based software functions. Our aim is to reduce fatigue and increase comfort and efficiency during loader work and we are just getting started.

Quicke launches next Generation of Buckets

Quicke is displaying a new generation of buckets at Agritechnica in Hannover/Germany in November 2019, available for sale early next year. The buckets have been developed to meet the increasing demand from the market and to add further modularity and customization possibilities for end users. The new range of buckets will be categorized into three types depending on the usage: Soil, general purpose and volume buckets.

The innovator Quicke has been known to be one of the driving forces in modernizing and digitalizing the agricultural business. In 2019 Quicke is continuing the journey towards being a complete manufacturer of front loaders and associated implements. The launch of a new range of buckets will further broaden the product portfolio and offer new ways of customization of implements for end-user needs.

The new standard buckets will be categorized into 3 types: Type S (Soil), type G (General) and Type V (Volume). The hooks are either welded or bolted to the bucket, the latter is called Bolt on Hook (BoH). The new bucket range in combination with a big selection of hook types allows Quicke dealers to offer the perfect bucket for all machines with quick delivery times. Optimized working angles will increase the productivity for the end users. Quicke uses cutting-edge technology to ensure that the bucket gets a perfect fit and function on each machine.

Henrik Jönsson, Director Implements Development in Sweden, explains why buckets from Quicke are truly unique: - With our big range of buckets disregarding machine or hook type, we have the perfect bucket to suit the needs of our customers. Furthermore, we have optimized our bucket design and working angles whether our customers are handling soil, manure, grain or snow. With our big selection of accessories for our farmers we make it possible for them to “build your bucket” and optimize it for their needs. Furthermore, a key feature from Quicke is the full serviceability with Quicke Parts.

All this is just the beginning and it's all in service of letting customers work smarter – not harder.
