The CTIS+ system from Trelleborg Wheels Systems, which intelligently modifies the tire pressures on tractors, is among the 24 nominees contending for the coveted Elmia Lantbruk Innovation Award. This Award honours new and innovative technologies that accelerate and add value to the Swedish agricultural sector. Winning products are promoted widely on the Swedish market, driving growth through technology that meets farmers' needs.
Magnus Jacknér, Sales Manager Agricultural & Forestry Tires at Trelleborg Wheel Systems in Sweden, says: “We are delighted to receive this nomination and look forward to showcasing the smart features of Trelleborg's CTIS+ system at the Elmia Lantbruk fair in February 2021. Our products are designed to boost farming efficiency, productivity and sustainability, and we are excited to showing farmers in Sweden how the CTIS+ system can help them grow their business.”.
With Trelleborg's CTIS+ system, or “CTIS+ Inside”, tractor drivers can regulate tire pressure directly from their tractor cabin according to the recommended pressure calculated by the advanced Trelleborg Load Calculator (TLC) software with a fully OEM-integrated central pressure control system.
“At Trelleborg, our smart solutions optimize production and ensure safety in farming operations. With our CTIS+ system, farmers can correct inflation pressure from the comfort of the tractor cab, while significantly reducing farming variable costs as well as their environmental footprint. By integrating digital technology, such as advanced CTIS systems, into the new generation of tractors, farmers will see a significant rise in the efficiency, productivity and sustainability of their farming activities,” adds Magnus Jacknér.
Following a rigorous selection process, the jury will reveal the winning products in September 2020 – gold awarded to the product that brings new innovation and technology to the market, and silver for the product that can promote growth in the Swedish agriculture sector. The criteria used to assess products include environmental impact, work environment, product quality and animal welfare.
The award ceremony will take place on 11 February 2021, during the Elmia Lantbruk exhibition, which will be held from 10 to 12 February 2021 at the Elmia Exhibition and Convention Centre in Jönköping, Sweden.
