Fun guaranteed with the duo Heavy D and Diesel Dave and all the Diesel Brothers crew who comment on the event full of incredible new Monster Truck records. Long jumps, high jumps and nose wheelies: the adrenaline-packed Monster Jam menu has something for everyone! A starring role is played by BKT tires which guarantee fun and safety.
Saturday, 8 August, saw the transmission on Discovery Channel of the fun evening “Diesel Brothers: Monster Jam® Breaking World Records”. A unique event of its kind which saw the Monster Trucks beat numerous records.
In fact fully six Monster records were set and validated by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, in Florida (US): Adam Anderson, with his Monster Truck Megalodon®, managed to jump 8 cars lined up in a row, while Krysten Anderson - the first and only female driver of Grave Digger® - won the title for the highest jump from the ramp reaching a height of 33.8 feet - more than 10 meters.
Bryce Kenny achieved the high speed record of 100.31mph - 161,433 km/h on the Great Clips Mohawk Warrior® and Bari Musawwir managed, with Zombie™, to execute the most consecutive Donuts, 58 in total and 44 in just one minute. And finally Tom Meents - 12-time Monster Jam World Final champion - who was determined to have for himself the record of the longest nose wheelie with Max-D™: he achieved 209 feet - over 63 meters.
Mind-blowing results for enormous vehicles weighing almost 5.5 tons which can fly and jump as if they were as light as a feather!
All these Monster Trucks which take part in the Monster Jam shows around the world are fitted with BKT tires, which have been specifically designed to equal and beat every possible and imaginable record and to do so in complete safety.
BKT MONSTER JAM TIRE is an “extreme” 66-inch tire which offers excellent stability - even after landing from a height of 14 meters - thanks to a particular shoulder which makes it possible to bounce at the moment of impact and to quickly restabilize.
It has a hard and rigid flank to avoid cuts and breaks and an extra-solid structure to resist and overcome these truly unique conditions. Whether it is a high jump, a donut or a nose wheelie.
“At BKT we work constantly to improve the product and we have even reduced the weight to allow the Monster Trucks even more spectacular performance. It needs balance and a resistant structure to achieve exceptional performance such as this. And each of these records ‘stresses' the tire in a different way, each detail must therefore be perfect” commented Dilip Vaidya, President and Director of Technology at BKT, who was the brains behind the tire from its birth.
The records, however, are not the only stars of the evening, because the presenters too are exceptional: it is the Diesel Brothers, a TV program that goes out on Discovery Channel, which has transformed the world of car repair into pure entertainment.
You can have a lot of fun with Heavy D, Diesel Dave and all the crew who last year entered the history books by managing to get the enormous Monster Truck BroDozer™ to leap over a flying plane. They are the stars of a special run during this evening of records.
Monster Jam has made us used to the idea that it is always possible to jump higher, further and even backwards, that it is possible to continuously improve performance and its adrenaline never fails to amaze, involve and energize millions of fans worldwide.
For this reason BKT has been the partner of Monster Jam since 2014 thanks to an agreement with Feld Motor Sports® - organizer of the acrobatic display. A strategic and winning choice which has given the Indian multinational the chance to demonstrate in the field all its experience in developing Off-Highway tires, even for the most difficult and unexpected applications, as well as to consolidate the fame of the brand worldwide. If the tire can resist these Monster records, then everyday work is child's play!
