The European Commission has delivered observation letters on the draft CAP strategic plans submitted by EU countries.
EU countries have been receiving observation letters from the Commission assessing their proposed CAP strategic plans. These letters examine how the EU countries identified their needs, the underlying evidence they used, the interventions they intend to implement and the targets they have set.
The observation letters are an interim step in the Commission's overall assessment and approval process for the CAP strategic plans. Each EU country is now expected to address the observations made and submit a revised version of the plans. In the meantime, each country has been given the opportunity to comment on their observation letter.
The observation letters are published as they were sent to each EU country. Certain EU countries may have agreed to receive their observation letter in English only.
Additionally, comments from EU countries are published as they were received, unless the EU country objected to their publication. As such, comments from certain countries may be available in that country's official language only.
Further observation letters and comments from EU countries will be published as they become available.
