Impressive new stand features premieres for industrial applications

One of Europe's largest agricultural exhibitions, SIMA 2013, will take place from 24 to 28 February in Paris. The previous edition of the event in 2011 attracted more than 1300 exhibitors and some 200,000 visitors. This edition Apollo Vredestein will be launching not one but two entirely new product lines at SIMA: The Vredestein Greentrax for lawn & ground care equipment and Apollo tyres for industrial & construction machinery.

Vredestein Greentrax: Optimal efficiency and turf protection

Whether for parks, verges, lawns, public gardens or football pitches, the new Vredestein Greentrax is the ideal tyre for lawn & ground care equipment. It ensures the preservation of a perfect green surface while offering exceptional operational efficiency at low costs.

Vredestein’s successful Flotation and Traxion agricultural tyres have given the company an unrivalled reputation for soil protection and road transport. Now Vredestein's engineers have leveraged on these many years of experience in creating the Greentrax. The result is a unique tread that excels in terms of turf preservation, traction, course stability, comfort and durability, including protection against kerbs and sharp objects. This makes the Greentrax the perfect tyre for maintaining parks, public green spaces, sport fields, lawns around buildings and many other ‘green’ applications.

The Greentrax has a large amount of rubber in the contact surface which means that the new Vredestein tyre exerts very little ground pressure per cm2 and rutting is negligible. The Greentrax is also very durable, ensuring many kilometres of use on paved roads travelling from one mowing location to the next.

The diagonal construction of the Greentrax provides for good suspension. A stable tyre centre with lots of rubber on the road and a flexible carcass reduces vibrations and enhances course stability. The open shoulder tread contains lateral grooves which, combined with the top-quality rubber compound, ensure excellent grip and traction. The reinforced sidewall of the Greentrax and raised rubber rim provide protection when the tyre comes into contact with kerbstones.

The tyres in the Greentrax range will be available from March 2013.

Apollo Industrial & Construction

These new industrial tyres for construction application are exceptionally reliable and robust, making them ideal for fitting on backhoe loaders, telescopic handlers, compact wheel loaders and soil compactors in road construction and earth moving. The tyres offer a good price quality ratio, especially considering their long lifespan and operational efficiency.

As you would expect from Apollo tyres, specific user requirements were taken into account during the development phase, including grip on muddy and loose soils, protection against impacts on stony surfaces and driver comfort on paved roads.

Three tread patterns are available. The AIT 416 and AIT 426 tyres feature the well-known R4 tread design for use on a wide range of construction equipment. The ARC 317 tyre has a R3 tread with cleats in a diamond-shaped pattern with a large tread depth for a long tyre life, designed for soil compactors.

The introduction of these new products represents the launch of the Apollo brand in the industrial sector in Europe. Apollo industrial tyres will initially be sold via the existing organisation and be available from the end of Q1 2013.
