Heidelberg, 30 september 2013. Following the example of the German Agricultural Society's Field Days (DLG) in Germany the trade fair organizers IFWexpo Heidelberg GmbH and Expo-Volga are organizing the “International Field Days in the Volga Region” which will take place from July 2-4, 2014 in Samara/Russia. The government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Samara region as well as the DLG are supporting this field event.
The “International Field Days in the Volga Region” will take place at an attractive agronomic location including four different exhibition sectors: The Trial Field where companies will visually present their plant cultivations of winter and summer crops, the Campus, the exhibition space for machinery and equipment as well as the live demonstrations of agricultural machinery. During the three days a business program featuring topics of plant cultivation will complement this event.
Samara lies at the heart of the Volga region, which is the most important economic area of the Russian Federation after Moscow. 22% of the population live in this region, the industrial output reaches 24% and the agricultural sector represents 25% of the production of the Russian Federation. And still, there is an enormous potential for development in the agricultural sector to be enhanced by state-of-the-art mechanizing and improved methods of production. Thus, the Volga region is an excellent sales market for modern agricultural technologies, equipment and know-how.
