This customer places particular demands on the SILOKING feed specialists: the fourth self-propelled SILOKING SelfLine System 1000+ 30 feed mixer has been working in Kibbuz Yavne, about 25 km south of Tel Aviv, for some weeks now. The farm without any livestock of its own is the biggest Feed Center in Israel. 20 employees mix more than 350 t TMR (total mixed ration) for around 200 dairy farms from three o'clock in the morning every day. For comparison: there is a total of 950 dairy farms in Israel.
Maximum efficiency required
With more than 11,500 kg milk yield per year, cows in Israel have the highest milk yield in international comparison. The customers' requirements in terms of feed quality are accordingly high. “Due to the limited availability of basic feed in Israel, preserving the existing feed structure throughout the feeding process is of major importance“, Joel Robinchik, international expert for milk production and SILOKING Representative in South America, said. “The feed mix must be exactly the same every day and loading errors of any kind are absolutely taboo here”, Joel Robinchik continued on the occasion of some farm tours in Israel in March 2014.
These are some of the reasons why Kibbuz Yavne's Management has again decided in favour of the innovative SILOKING SelfLine System 1000+ 30. All four machines are in use on 365 days and offer high work productivity, optimal logistic processes, reduced power consumption as well as minimal loss of material. At the same time, the feed in the Feed Center must be free from foreign materials. In Israel, magnets to protect the cows have been a standard feature in feed mixers for many years.
Here, the equipment of the SILOKING Self-propelled meets the Israeli customer's high requirements, too. “We are sure that we will expand further in this interesting market in the next years”, SILOKING General Manager Georg Mayer said.
