The donation represents the proceeds from Lemken's 10,000th Solitair seed drill, which was exhibited at last year's Agritechnica and was auctioned off for this purpose. The auction was conducted by Richie Bros. in Meppen in May.
The German-Indian Cooperation Association has been actively promoting development projects and international understanding since 1996. The organisation aims to improve the living conditions of the many poor living in Nagpur, a city of several million people in the Indian state of Maharashtra in central India, in cooperation with its Indian project partner.
The donation will be used to fund sustainable agriculture projects around Nagpur. Discussions have been held regarding an ongoing close collaboration, and Lemken will therefore continue to support the Association's activities both in Germany and in India.
Lemken is proud to be able to support an agricultural project in such close vicinity to our Indian manufacturing site in Nagpur.
