Improved working width
Working width has been extended from 6m to 6,24m (or from 8,24m to 8,48m) to allow some overlap and increase work rates per hour.
CombCut can be used against most types of weed, with almost any kind of tractor
CombCut has been successfully used to cut many different weeds, in various cropping systems. The new model has been further improved to handle higher work rates and require less maintenance. Small modifications have been made to fit different kinds of tractor models, with front or rear 3-point linkage. A new control valve optimizes the hydraulic flow from the tractor to the hydraulic motor using no more oil pressure than is necessary. For tractors with single hydraulic circuit, there's an extra optional valve available, changing the flow between the hydraulic folding arms and hydraulic motor drive. The 3-point linkage has also been modified to give room for larger tractors with category 3 arms. Mounting holes are standardized with other agricultural equipment.
Better material flow
The new model has a direct hydraulic drive to the brushes mounted on the side of the machine. There's no more risk of slipping v-belts. This means that the central section of the machine has been opened up, allowing more cut material to pass through. Middle section brushes is now made in one long piece. The brushes are also slightly twisted, to get a smoother movement allowing a better flow of cut material through the frame of the machine. New straw dividers prevent cut material being held up between the sections. Brushes can be adjusted further forwards helping the knives to cut weed with harder and stiffer straws. Knives are stabilized with a round strip between the knife holders and the frame. These new features improve CombCut's cutting process and makes the machine more versatile, reliable and reduces maintenance.
Easier Knife Adjustment
The knife adjustment is made by turnbuckles, behind the machine. No more bolts on top to be released and tightened, when making adjustments. Guides inside the frame makes adjustment smoother and more accurate. All knife protection shields are mounted with steel springs and the middle section shield is made in two pieces, to make handling and storing easier.
New wheels
Due to the low weight CombCut is mostly used without wheels when cutting in high crops. The new machine has support wheels available as option. These new wheels are substantially reinforced and can be extended to a higher position than on the previous CombCut model. The new wheels are also movable sideways allowing them to be in line with the tractor wheels. To make this possible the frame has been further reinforced. For driving in extra high crops a height extension adaptor available as option.
