Machines to be presented are the four-row self-propelled potatoe harvester VARITRON 470 and the two-row ISOBUS-capable bunker harvesters SE 260 and SV 260. The second generation VARITRON 470 is equipped with a 7-ton unloading bunker for which a patent is pending. In many countries, the state-of-the art 435 hp engine meets the conditions for comprehensive subsidy programmes. Automatic and constant share depth control (Terra Control), large 1050" tyres that are gentle on the soil, highest manoeuvrability, new ergonomically designed control desk, unrivalled clear arrangement, sieving on a width of 2.8 m and many helpful assistance systems are only some of the features of the self-propelled harvester that is approved for use on public roads.
The two-row SE 260 is equipped with a 5.5-ton unloading bunker with reversing and continuous bunker web. Complete unloading can be achieved within 45 seconds by means of a rapid, yet gentle process. Increases in performance between 10 and 20 % compared to ordinary systems are possible.
The SV 260 is equipped with a disc coulter intake that prevents a compression of the ridges in particular on heavy soils, so that the ridge is distributed more evenly on the conveyors, thereby increasing sieving performance. The speed of the hydraulically driven intake web can be conveniently adjusted from the driver´s seat in an infinitely variable manner, thus enabling the driver to quickly adapt the machine, especially when working under varying harvesting conditions. The ring elevator of the 2-row bunker harvester SV 260 is equipped with enhanced, very sturdy OptiBags. This guarantees an increased sieving of the soil and a very gentle transfer and transport of the potatoes. The Vario roller separator permits the use of the machine under widely different and even the most adverse conditions. The optional ComfortDrive system provides for highest driving stability and reduces machine oscillations on uneven soil.
All harvesters are equipped with the Visual Protect system, which means that a colour monitor provides the driver at all times with a comprehensive overview even of critical conditions in the harvester so that he can intervene before a fault occurs. Tractor Implement Management, load-dependent fully automatic speed control for separators (Speedtronic), ISOBUS control and further enhancements will be presented or can be discussed with our competent team at the 300 m² stand.
We will be demonstrating a complete storing technology line, a box filler as well as the new LC-series band conveyors with hybrid drive.
Grimme is the only manufacturer in potato technology to offer a variety of helpful apps for practical work. The app "Grimme Tools" enables growers among others to conveniently calculate or determine spraying tracks, seed stock requirements, yield and reach as well as the performance data during digging. Another Grimme app offers a comprehensive overview of all products including photographs, videos, brochures and presentations. With the CCI Control Mobile app it is possible to use a tablet to display, process and pass on machine, acreage and order data.
