The ribbon was cut this morning in Bari at the Agrilevante international exposition dedicated to machinery and technologies for agricultural and agro-food supply chains. The Puglia Regional Commissioner for Agriculture, Leonardo Di Gioia, Fiera del Levante President Ugo Patroni Griffi and the FederUnacoma president, Massimo Goldoni, were present for the official opening of the event and touring a number of the pavilions taken by more than 300 companies exhibiting on more than 50,000 m² of indoor and outdoor exhibition areas. The press conference which followed the opening, held in the multifunctional space furnished in natural greenery with television journalist Attilio Romita acting as coordinator, covered the history of the biennial trade fair from 2009 to 2015 through the steady growth of number of exhibiting companies, exposition area committed and the number of business people and delegations arriving from abroad.
Agrilevante was created as a spin-off of the sample trade fair model, Patroni Griffi explained, and owes it success to the specialization of the review, greater space allocated to exhibitors and aiming of communications to the segments of the public with specific interest in technologies for the primary sector. He went on to say that the winning factor was teaming up for a partnership with FederUnacoma, the Italian Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Federation, which brought in the federation's specific know-how for the organization of events centered on agricultural mechanics and ability to motivate the manufacturing industries to invest in the review.
Federation President Goldoni said he was convinced that Agrilevante can become the advanced outpost for Italian and European industries for the development of trade relations with countries of great potential interest. He said the review was able to foresee the revival of the Mediterranean market and is now ahead of the game as regards new rural economic trends for openings to important sectors dedicated to bioenergy, multifunctional agriculture and groundskeeping.
