"The large attendance at conferences organised at Enovitis in Fiera is expression of a great interest for the next edition of Enovitis in Campo, taking place in the region Emilia Romagna. Many major exhibitors of the sector have already sent their applications over the last few days in Verona. This proves that the operators really want to be put to test in such a state-of-the-art vineyard within an area, where high specialization and technology have become crucial factors to contribute to the growth of Lambrusco wine all over the world. Therefore, we are really satisfied with the path we have taken. We are pleased that Enovitis in Campo has been growing year by year, while attracting the sector's operators with a proposal of real novelty. It will be an unmissable edition, which bodes to be record-breaking ".
With these words, Paolo Castelletti, Secretary-General of Unione Italiana Vini, comments on the success of Enovitis in Fiera, a project arisen from the co-operation of Unione Italiana Vini with Fieragricola, which was held during the 113th edition of the international agricultural trade show at Fiera di Verona and which anticipated the next edition of Enovitis in campo in Emilia Romagna.
In the special area of Enovitis in Fiera, the conferences and the workshops on the hottest topics concerning the wine-making sector were "full-house". Over 200 attendees were registered in the inaugural day, on Thursday, 1st February, with a large participation in the conference "Climate changes and vineyard protection ", a highly topical issue, for the first time discussing and analysing this aspect that is essential for the sector. Highly appreciated was also the conference "Sustainability in figures. The SOS.t Project", where there was a presentation of the first multi-company certification regarding the project of several enterprises in the area of Maremma, (Castello d'Albola, Cantina di Pitigliano, Cantina I Vini di Maremma, Podere San Cristoforo and Tenuta Rocca di Montemassi), which promoted solutions capable of improving the sustainability of the vine-growing and wine-making chain.
On 2nd February, there was the seminar "From the field to the wine glass: digitalisation + sustainability for the development of viticultural production", an occasion to take a picture on the digital tools at the vine-grower's disposal for sustainable production in the vineyard. Organised by Image Line, a hi-tech company specialising in digital solutions for agriculture, the project was conceived within Tergeo, a project promoted by Unione Italiana Vini for the collection, qualification and spread of innovative solutions to improve the sustainability of the whole wine-growing and wine-making chain.
In addition, the 13th edition of Enovitis in Campo, was officially presented: in particular, during the exhibition days, it collected a lot of applications to participate by the sector's operators. Now, the appointment will be on 21 and 22 June 2018 in Emilia Romagna, at Fabbrico (RE) at the Società Agricola Il Naviglio dei F.lli Fantini.
