New 9000 Series SPFHs: John Deere introduces four models up to 970hp
Building on the success of the 8000 Series, John Deere has announced four new self-propelled forage harvester models from 625 to 970hp.
John Deere introduces new 8600 forager
Driven by the market demand for more power, more efficiency and more productivity in self-propelled forage harvesters with a transport width of less than 3m, John Deere is introducing an additional model to its current 8000 Series line-up for 2019.
Manure Sensing system gets DLG and government approval
John Deere Manure Sensing is now DLG certified for all three main liquid organic fertiliser types. Cattle manure was certified in October 2017, and the German Agricultural Society has now approved the calibration for pig manure, including phosphorus (P2O5). The biogas liquid digestate calibration has also been improved and is now certified for dry matter, total N, NH4-N (ammonium N) and K2O (potassium oxide).
Kemper StalkBuster receives Gold Medal at Agritechnica 2017
Kemper's new StalkBuster is designed to break up the crop stubble directly below the self-propelled forage harvester's header, destroying the overwintering habitat of the corn borer pest and reducing the risk of fusarium in the soil. An additional mulching operation is therefore no longer necessary.
