At the 14th Dairy Olympics, an international conference event addressing region-relevant dairy topics is being held this year in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where the DLG (German Agricultural Society) will be contributing with its dairy know-how and management as well as farm equipment expertise.
The DLG today announced the winners of the DLG-Agrifuture Concepts Winner award. The new award scheme at EuroTier and EnergyDecentral recognizes pioneering achievements and future visions for livestock and decentralized energy production that have not yet reached market maturity. The winners are Wilhelm Kristen GmbH for its Modular future cowshed Lely Deutschland GmbH for „Lely Exos“ (a concept for the fully autonomous harvesting and feeding of fresh grass), Big Dutchman International GmbH (Miteinreicher: Bröring GmbH & Co. KG) for „Havito – Birth to Finish, a structured pen, in which the sow can give birth and the piglets remain throughout the entire rearing and fattening period without being relocated. The official awards ceremony will take place on November 17 at 11 a.m. at the DLG stand (Hall 26, Stand B33) at EuroTier and EnergyDecentral in Hanover, Germany.

Great joy at WEDA Dammann & Westerkamp GmbH in Lutten, Lower Saxony: The specialist for pig husbandry, stable equipment, feeding and air conditioning technology has been awarded with the DLG Innovation Award in silver for its Dry.Sec dosing station among the approved exhibitors at EuroTier 2022.
Tobias Eichberg has taken over as Managing Director of the Exhibitions Department of the DLG (German Agricultural Society) and DLG Service GmbH, headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. Eichberg succeeds Peter Grothues, who will be retiring on 31 July.

Rekordot döntött novemberben Hannoverben az EuroTier a 2445 kiállítóval, és a közel 160 ezer látogatóval, amelybõl mintegy 38 ezren érkeztek külföldrõl – jelentette be Dr. Reinhard Grandke, a DLG (Német Mezõgazdasági Szervezet) vezérigazgatója a nagyszabású kiállítás záró sajtótájékoztatóján. Egyetlen magyar médiumként vettünk részt a szeptember 21-22-én Göttingenben megrendezett Eurotier Előnapokon. A rendezvény célja, hogy az újságírók betekintést nyerjenek az Eurotier „kulisszatitkaiba”, megismerhessék a több mint 80 részt vevő cég újdonságait. Ezenkívül a DLG nyilvánosságra hozta az éremmel jutalmazott innovációkat. Hogy ki kapja meg az aranyat, és ki az ezüstöt, arra csak a kiállításon derül fény.
