Turkey's Biggest Agriculture Fair Growtech Eurasia 2011 is Opening
Growtech Eurasia 2011 International Horticulture, Agriculture, Floriculture and Technologies Fair is getting ready to open its doors in Antalya Expo Center.
Growtech Eurasia Agriculture Fair, which will be produced with the participation of 600 domestic and international companies on 35.000 m2 area, will accommodate over 70.000 professional visitors, international leading agriculture companies from 30 different countries such as Holland, Spain, China, France, Germany, England, Italy, United States of America, Egypt, Belgium, India, Bulgaria, Canada, Israel, Hungary, Iran, Jordan, Korea, Morocco, Malesia, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates will participate to the fair.
With a great number of international participation, Turkey's widest agriculture fair Growtech Eurasia 2011 will also accommodate the country pavilions of Holland, Germany, France, China and Spain. Growtech Eurasia is being appreciated as Turkey's one and only agriculture fair with national participations.
Panel to be held at Growtech Eurasia will discuss the matter of organic agriculture
Producers dealing with organic agriculture for several years in several regions of Turkey will come together with experts, academicians and bureaucrats at Growtech Eurasia, on December 1 and 2.
Presentations on Current Status and Improvement and International Evaluation of Organic Agriculture in Turkey, Main Topics of Case Studies on other Countries will be made at “GLOBAL ORGANIC AGRICULTURE AND TURKEY” panel to within the scope of Growtech Eurasia and experiences of panellists as well as approaches to the Turkey's organic agriculture sector will be discussed in details. International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement (IFOAM) Chairman Markus ARBENZ, International Centre for Organic Agriculture in Central and Eastern Europe (ECOCONNECT) Chairman Bernhard JANSEN, Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Provincial Directors Bedrullah ERCINETO (Ecologic Agriculture Organization) Foundation Chairman Atila ERTEM, International Organization for Biological Control Chairman and Green Universe General Director Ignacio HORCHE will attend to the panel as speakers and also producers of Turkish organic agriculture sector will discuss in detail methods of improving the existing potential by telling about positive and negative aspects of the experiences they had until now.
Markus ARBENZ will make suggestions on the studies conducted all around the world for improving Organic Agriculture and for developing countries. Markuz Arbenz will relate the organic agriculture experiences he had in Switzerland, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Bosnia, Nepal, India, Bolivia, Ivory Coast, South Africa and Israel, during Growtech Eurasia 2011 activities.
Ecoconnect International East and Middle-East Europe Organic Agriculture Centre Chairman Bernhard JANSEN will share, at the panel, his experiences on establishing commercial marketing channels at the Organic Agriculture Sector, creating government strategies for marketing organic products and on leadership of the European Union Organic Agriculture Projects and also Mr. Atila ERTEM will tell about generalizing organic agriculture all around the world, extending organic product markets and representing our country at national and international activities about organic agriculture.
Growtech Agriculture Awards will reward the success and promote entrepreneurship and innovation
Organized for the fourth time this year within the scope of Growtech Eurasia 2011, new winners will receive Growtech Agriculture Awards 2011 at the opening ceremony. Projects providing added value to Turkish agriculture for the purpose of promoting quality production, generalizing modern agricultural techniques, will compete in award categories of Entrepreneurship and innovation.
