Eurasia’s Biggest Agriculture Fair Growtech Eurasia opens
Antalya Governor Dr. Ahmet Altiparmak, Antalya Metropolitan Mayor Prof. Dr. Mustafa Akaydin, TRNC Agriculture and Natural Resources Minister Ali Çetin Amcaoglu, Republic of Turkey Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister M. Mehdi Eker, NTSR Fair Organizations President Serkan Tiglioglu and several sector leaders participated to the opening ceremony of the 11th International Agriculture, Greenhouse, Floriculture and Technologies Fair Growtech Eurasia 2011.
The fair is expected to have over 70.000 visitors, as well as participation of numerous national and international press members.
Growtech Agriculture Awards Rewarded The Success
Growtech Eurasia 4th Agriculture Awards, designed to reward activities that will bring innovation to agriculture sector and provide added value to the agricultural production, are given to Atay Tarim, Bioglobal, Ekosol, Gento Tohumculuk, Logo Tarim, Nalbantoglu and Tarim Turk Magazine. The contest reviewed projects that provided added value to the Turkish agriculture for the purpose of promoting quality production and generalizing modern agricultural techniques and assessed the applications on Entrepreneurship and Innovation categories.
Panel Has Been Held at Growtech Eurasia to Discuss the Matter of Organic Agriculture
Producers dealing with organic agriculture for several years in several regions of Turkey came together with experts, academicians and bureaucrats at Growtech Eurasia, on December 1 and 2.
Presentations on Current Status and Improvement and International Evaluation of Organic Agriculture in Turkey, Main Topics of Case Studies on other Countries were made at “GLOBAL ORGANIC AGRICULTURE AND TURKEY” panel within the scope of Growtech Eurasia and experiences of panellists as well as approaches to the Turkey’s organic agriculture sector was discussed in details. International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement (IFOAM) Chairman Markus ARBENZ, International Centre for Organic Agriculture in Central and Eastern Europe (ECOCONNECT) Chairman Bernhard JANSEN, Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Provincial Director Bedrullah ERÇIN, ETO (Ecologic Agriculture Organization) Foundation Chairman Atila ERTEM, International Organization for Biological Control Chairman and Green Universe General Director Ignacio HORCHE attended to the panel as speakers and also producers of Turkish organic agriculture sector discussed in detail methods of improving the existing potential by telling about positive and negative aspects of the experiences they had until now.
Growtech Eurasia Fair airs live on “The Sound of this Land”…
The Growtech Euraisa Fair was aired live on the 1st and 2nd of December 2011 on TRT’s show “The Sound of this Land” between 08.30-09.30 a.m. While the show on the 1st of December focused on the importance of fair industry and seed growing, viewers gained insight into organic agriculture in Turkey from the past to date on the second day’s show.
The show which conveyed the opinions of industry representatives and experts in the field also hosted NTSR’s Exhibition Group Director Engin Er and Marketing Executive Aynur Turan, who gave detailed information about the Growtech Eurasia Agriculture Fair.
