Optimizing piglet gut function for better performance

Agro Napló
In pig production the weaning period is the most challenging time for piglets. The success during nursery is detrimental to the success in the following phases.

With the current efforts in reducing the antibiotic use in animal production, the demand for alternative feed additives and solution are still rising.

Phytogenics feed additives (PFAs) are gaining popularity as a natural solution for their effects on stimulating feed intake, reducing inflammatory processes due to anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties as well as supporting gut barrier and function.

Due to the direct and indirect effects on gut function, PFAs can support piglets on this challenging period by increasing nutrient availability for production resulting in better performance and stronger animals.
