When synbiotics are applied at the hatchery level, the beneficial host-specific bacteria can colonize the intestinal villi before the birds reach the farm or shed. These beneficial bacteria limit the opportunity for pathogens such as Salmonella spp. and E. coli to pose a risk to birds, thereby supporting flock health and food safety. Additionally, early synbiotics application have an effect on priming the immune system, giving a boost to hatchery vaccination programs.
In this webinar we'll review how commercial poultry operations successfully use poultry synbiotics in order to reduce the incidence of diseases, reduce the need for antimicrobials, as well as improve the sustainability and profitability of egg and poultry meat production.
